As a young transgender person this book fills me with a lot of hope for my future. I relate to his story so much. He gives me hope that one day I can medically transition even if it’ll be difficult. I grew up in a time where there were very few LBGTQ books and I felt very much an anomaly. I heard great things about this book and wanted to read it. I found the book to be written super simply and not adding much to the conversation. I am glad it exists but it was super simplistic and it really doesn’t add much to the conversations around transitioning. It might be a great book for a kid just starting to figure out who they are.
