Lamps-Currey-6000-0940The patterning on the surface of the Geologie Table Lamp takes great skill to create because it is glazed while it is on the wheel, which requires steady hand eye coordination. Made of porcelain in a mix of beige, pale gray, and brown, the body of the lamp sits atop a metal base in an antique brass finish. A finial in the same finish fastens the textural shade to the lamp, which echoes the darker tones where the body meets the base.

It was hard to open the top, but once that was done, the “inner lid” was easy to open, you just don’t want to drop this because it’s l8kely to spill open. The lid is not really secure.
