The surge protection at 1680 joules gives me peace of mind having it near my electronics, and the ETL listing confirms it meets safety standards which is always reassuring with electrical products. The USB ports are a nice bonus and charge my devices at a decent speed. My main gripe is that some of the AC outlet slots are noticeably stiff and tight, making it genuinely difficult to plug certain things in — I had to use a bit more force than I was comfortable with on a couple of them. It loosens up slightly with use but out of the box it was more of a struggle than it should be. Not a dealbreaker but something worth knowing especially if you're plugging in bulkier adapters. Overall a good functional surge protector for a home office or dorm room setup at a very reasonable price
