WWII U.S. M-1 Helmet Liner Headband by Goldsmith Bros. Manufacturing Co.Description This original WWII U. S. M 1 helmet liner headband was produced by Goldsmith Bros. Manufacturing Co. The hardware is green painted steel, approximately dating the headband's production from mid 1942 to late 1943. It exhibits third pattern spring clips, which have a fold in the metal's bottom edge. This would be an ideal headband for a helmet liner with either non painted or green painted steel A washers. Provenance Private Collection,
