The square underside of the head is self locking to eliminate spinning and the need for a driving tool. The zinc plating is rust resistant and provides a beautiful, consistent finish, but, may not work for all exterior projects.

You can see in pic that my bed elevated at head. Even with that, they stay on. If I bought for myself and not guests, I would have ordered a different color. All and all, I'm very satisfied
