It was manufactured by Schlueter Manufacturing Co. of St. Louis, Missouri and exhibits a lot number of "477A", approximately dating its production to late 1944. The helmet retains its original olive drab factory finish, cork texture, and OD#7 (green) chinstraps with steel hardware and a flat buckle.
