This D ring is slightly more compact than a normal 3 1 2" D ring. The 5 16" material adds a little more weight which helps the stability and release. The mouthpiece is made of sweet iron and has three equal breaks. This allows for tongue relief, while intensifying the pressure on the outside of the bars. PCB 98A

OEM is always the answer
No reason not to go OEM for this! Came with every possible gasket and seal I could need. Specifically for my Alpha One Gen 1 it took maybe 25-30 min to completely install.
While you’re there check the base plate for wear and the other surrounding items like your water tube. Rather keep the lower unit off for an extra day to get another part than a catastrophic failure.
