Hohner B Golden Melody Diatonic HarmonicaThe 542 Golden Melody diatonic harmonica is a long time Hohner staple. It is the only harp they produce that uses "Equal Temperament" tuning. This means that all notes are tuned exactly true to A440 values (other, "Just temperament" tuned harps are tuned with individual notes having wee variances to make the chords sound true). It's streamlined shape and distinctive red plastic comb give it a decidedly modern look and a bright, even tone.

I got this for my playful chihuahua. The size is rather large for him, but that's really not an issue for him; he already thinks he's ferocious and big as a Rottweiler. The Squeaker worked at first, but it's not attached to anything on the inside, so it floats freely and is hard to locate and squeeze, without it slipping out of my grasp. After a week, the squeaker is now completely collapsed and doesn't work at all. Its a terrible design. The Squeaker should be easily accessible, firmly attached to something on the inside, and should be more durable.
