Although this fabric isn't actually quilted the inside of the fabric is filled with thick cotton threads which give it a padded and quilt like handle. Very pretty purse for a dressy occasion. I always carry a lot of stuff with me and this actually can fit it. The option to be able to unfold the top to give it more room to put stuff in is fantastic! I love the 2 different strap options as well. It comes in a nice drawstring bag for storage. Very happy with this purchase.
