Lamps-Currey-6000-0741Made by a group of women who live at the border of Burma and Thailand, the Cynara Table Lamp is a lovely oversized white lamp shaped like an artichoke. Each leaf, or bract as they are called with the real plant, is made of ceramic and affixed by hand, the shaping a painstaking process in order to mimic the lamp's edible namesake. The body of the Cynara is then finished in a soft antique white.

I used this as a junction point on a 1 gauge wire. I added an 8 gauge wire to one side, and the cover would not seat. I had to bend and maneuver the ring terminals to make the cover catch. For the price of the items, if used without any secondary wires attached and interior use only, this is an unbeatable deal.
