Meinl 12" Black River Series Rope Tuned DjembeThese Djembes are made from a solid piece of plantation grown Mahogany wood, and are hand carved with a horizontal ripple motif that suggests a flowing river. This also makes the djembe easy to hold between the knees. It comes in four different sizes for players of all ages. The hand selected goat skin head is secured and tuned with the traditional Mali Weave system.

Do not purchase this, it’s a waste of money. I’ve had it for only 6 months, and as you can see from the picture, the fabric is already coming apart. I don’t think this product is suitable for outdoor use. I live in an area with mild weather (mostly shaded, minimal rain, no snow, and limited sun exposure), and it still couldn’t handle that. Very disappointed. Customer support can’t help after 90 days, so the $100 I paid went to waste.
