Seine Skizzenbcher, die ber 3000 Bltter in 78 Heften enthalten, blieben weit vollstndiger erhalten als die anderer Knstler. Da sie sehr empfindlich sind und deshalb nur selten ausgestellt werden knnen, macht diese Publikation die weitgehend unbekannten Zeichnungen erstmals einem breiteren Publikum zugnglich.
